Airbus and Palantir extend their partnership

In December 2025, Airbus renewed for ten years its partnership with Palantir, initiated in 2015 around the Skywise platform. This big data solution has become central to Airbus industrial and operational optimization (production, maintenance, fleet consumption and availability) and is now used by more than 150 airlines worldwide.

In parallel, Palantir remains established in the European arena through its Gotham software, used by several intelligence services and security forces, including France''s DGSI (contract renewed at the end of 2025), as well as Dutch and Danish services and a regional German police force.

This renewal comes amid a tense geopolitical context marked by the second Trump presidency, the fracturing of the transatlantic link, and a desire by some European states to reduce their dependence on US technologies.

The renewal of the Airbus and Palantir contract once again highlights a tension between immediate technological efficiency and the EU''s ambition for strategic sovereignty. In the short term, industrial logic prevails. In the long term, will Europe lastingly accept that its critical data infrastructure relies on actors tied to American power?
